Myself and some of the other Leutenant's here at NAS are looking for a place to go hog hunting within 4 hrs of here. I was fortunate enough to grow up hunting along with some of the others, so there are some seasoned hunters in the group. Any offers or suggestions of where to go are greatly appreciated!!
Thanks |

There are a lot of hogs up on ESCAMBIA RIVER MANAGEMENT AREA on escambia river! You really need a small boat to get up on the north end. The woods are THICK but the hogs are there.

If I'm not mistaken Frank knows a little bit about hog hunting so I would go with what he says. Haha!

Not me...I have never hunted the WMA's but I have heard good things about Eglin, Escambia and Blackwater concerning hog hunting.

The upper delta WMA has a ton of hogs if you are looking to go to AL. As a matter of fact I drove through this evening and saw several as well as plenty of deer.

Doesn't Whiting field have hogs and deer? I know they have some stud deer on base They used to have a club that hunted the gov property but it may have been bow only. I have often wondered what the rules are at whiting and if some kinda club is still in existence. If anybody knows any details post up. I'd love to know the details and this might be a great place for these guys to hunt

only military and DOD can hunt whiting field. Yes it is bow hunting only and certain areas at certain times. MWR has all the details for it. I hunted it the first year it was allowed I only hunted it one day and killed one. No hogs then but plenty of deer.
