![]() The fact is try angosomewhere to plant a food plot after not being there all summer. If you have pig problemon your property you will feel the same way this person did. He told me to shot every pig I saw on 700 acres. The majority of his property is high with a little creek bottom, that holds I kid you not a couple hundred pigs. In one afternoon a buddy of mine and I shot 11 pigs and could of shot more but ran out of ammo. The little ones taste 50 times better than the big ones do and can do just as much damage as the big ones. It is like having 1000 of puppies running all over your farm. There are different strokes for different folks. Like Ted says "KILL IT AND GRILL IT"

Congrats Shane, good eating right there.
From running a 7k acre ranch in TX, I know more than I ever wanted to know about ferrel hogs and I can tell you the best thing is to kill every one. A couple of facts......Two mature mating hogs can produce 1000 offspring in 3 yrs. Breeding maturity is around 3 months old. The owner had me shoot every hog I saw and wanted me to let 'em lie. That I just couldn't do. I trapped anywhere from 12-25 wk in just two traps. I even kept several and raised them for slaughter. I guided and guaranteed the hog hunts and only ONCE in three yrs did the hunters not come back with a hog. But when we got back to the house, there were 3 sows inside my back yard....... On the ranch, we had an 1800 acre corn field, the hogs took an average of 800-900 acres of it each year...... I finally talked the owner into purchasing a walk in freezer....all my friends had pork....
