anyone hunt in the brantley elba alabama area?

Thinking of hunting in the Brantley/Elba Alabama area. What kind of whitetail genetics are in this area and when does the rut usually hit? Thanks. I'm just killing time waiting for hunting season.......

Good deer hunting for sure in that area. We had a lease there for 6 years and let it go this year due to not being able to find anyone to hunt with us (and help with the lease payment) LOTS of people hunt in that general area so overall pressure is high but if you can control the pressure on your club/lease you'll do well. P.S. the big/little store in Brantley has amazing biscuits in the morning and chicken at lunch!

Great area to hunt good genetics bucks are good body weights the rut is last 2 weeks of Jan. end of the season we wish it was open another week or 2. We hunt just north and east of Brantley

Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to hunting season and man do I love some biscuits! We will be located half way between Brantley and Elba.
