Default 8 Point, 15 1/4, 135 lbs

Got to my shooting house about 3:30, Sat there until about 4:50 when a nice rack buck steps out at the end of my plot, 165 yards away. I put the scope on him and could see his horns were outside of his ears and was at least a 6 point but really couldn't see brow tines. I have not killed a Buck this year so needless to say I decided to take a shot. Took the shot and he jumped and bolted back into the woods from the same direction he came from. I sat there for about ten minutes and was thinking that I might have missed. I couldn't stand it anymore so I decided to go look for any blood or hair. Got to where he had been standing, nothing :banghead but I could see his tracks so I followed them and crossed a couple of tree rows and found a small amount of blood. I continued to follow this trail ( no more blood-just a deer trail ), he jumped up about 20 yards in front of me and ran for about 15 yards and stopped. I threw the scope up and could see his horns and head. I could vaguely make out his shoulder as he was blending in well with the woods. Squeezed off the second shot and he fell right there. He only weighed 135 pounds and he had a 15 1/4 inch inside spread but I am happy with him.
