2nd chance buck

Shot a little 8 pt. this morning who was just acting crazy. I shot him 20 yds from where I missed him two weeks ago.

Jan. 21 st I shot at this guy 2 x at about 250 yds. I felt good about the shot at the time when he disappeared. Another buck (7 pt) had stepped out 2 minutes later and i piled him up. We couldn't find any blood or hair from the 1 st buck , and they looked identical, so we thought I missed and the same deer had ran back out.

This am, sitting in the same stand. Had a doe come limping by about 7 am and thought it strange that she didn't have a buck pushing her. She looked worn slam out. Got down at 930 hooked my code blue bomb to my boots. I eased down the road to the spot where I had shot the 7 and I stopped. All of a sudden I hear crashing and this guy is running at me out of the swamp. I guess he was coming to the scent. I shot and he He ran 40 yds and piled up in a head. He had a bullet hole in his back leg from 2 weeks ago. Glad to get him!

haha thats awesome!! happened to me last year too. except mine was a 142in nontyp 12pt. My bullet hole in the back, just above the spine. luckily he presented another shot a couple weeks later. i was tore up about him cause i missed him with my bow aswell

hes on the wall now though

Sculls, I didn't mention that I missed a big buck out of the same stand last Saturday am (28th). He was a monster that dwarfs these 2 and a got a few shots off at him, but he would not stop !Now if I can get a second chance at him, I will be set for a wall hanger. I have set this stand three times and had a shot at a buck each time.
