Default WTB nice Regs

Wondering what you guys recommend for a nice regulator?? I am willing to spend about 500 but wouldn't mind cutting that down a little... any help would be greatly appreciated!

the high end atomics are the best i've ever used. either the Z2 or the M1. the z2 is cheaper by quite a bit, but they are both great. i have huffed on my m1's as hard as possible and have not been able to over breathe it. i'm an atomic user for life DEFINATELY

cheers

As Sean said, Atomic regs are awesome! But you're not going to get a set of Atomic M regs for $500. Hell, by the time you put together a full setup with octo and guages, I don't know if you can get the Z for $500.

If you want something like Atomic, you're probably going to have to up your budget a little. For something a little cheaper, but still very good, check out Mares.

Do what I did, buy a used set. I purchased a used atomic B1 reg and sent it to atomic for overhaul. They updated it and put a new B2 cover on it. It looks brand new. These regs will last a lifetime, so buying used is not that big of a deal. I recently purchased an T1 that I am going to send back as well. The titanium parts in these regs will last a long time! A word of caution, Atomic keeps up with there customers SN#s, so if you buy a set of stolen regs and send them back to Atomic, you might not get them back. Atomic will be happy to check the serial number for you before you purchase. Titanium regs cant be used with 100% O2, but other that that, they are great.
