Default Took the window

A friend called from the beach and said " man it looks pretty good out here." So at 1:30 I loaded the boat and took off. We hit the pass around 2:30. We headed to the Born Again to do one quick dive. The first 6 miles out were soft 2 ft rollers. After 6 miles it turned to flat glass. The water was blue. Small little man-o-war were everywhere. The top 20fsw was raining man-o-war tentacles.

Water temp: 65 from top to bottom.
Vis: 35-40 ft
Current: 1/2 knot headed west

We had a hunting plan to scare something out from under the bow. Nothing there so we commenced to open hunting. I saw two AJ around 30 lbs that would not come within range. Plenty of schoolie AJ. A decent amount of Red Snapper (a couple at the 20 lb mark). When I finally had a 20 lb AJ come within range, the tax collector came in at the same time. Normally I would wait until he went out of visible range, take the shot and then fight him off. This guy wasn't leaving. I maxed my bottom time and headed up. The fish were super skittish and just not very willing to get shot. There's always next time.

My buddy dropped his riffe knife on the deck of the wreck. If anybody gets out there before we do, a 12 pack for its' return.

my buddy took his brand new gopro down. I will see about getting some video up. He said he could see his knife (in the video) laying on the deck of the wreck. He went up before the shark came in. It was just me and the 6 ft sandbar. That's why I didn't take a shot.
