Next year, I am contemplating spending some January fishing time(inshore mainly) in Southeast(Atlantic Coast) Florida to find some warm water. Any recommendations near a big city? How is Biscayne Bay near Miami? Palm Beach? Ft. Pierce area? Space Coast?

Launch from Black pointto get to Biscayne Bay head south just past Turkey Point and it starts to bend around Turkey point right. That flat all thru there has all the flats fish. On the edge of that bend where the shore curves back to the left/south there isa little canal that goes inland, fish that! Free line a live bait as you troll skipping plastics or jigs under the mangroves for snook and small tarpon. If your that close go to Flamingo and fish the mouth of the canal that leads into lake ingraham the same way as the last canal also troll big shallow diving Yozuri's in and out of the mouth. We catch so many fish that way!!!! Also when you get out of the cut at the marina in flamingo the islands directly strait are fun to catch smaller Tarpon by throwing DOA shrimp to the mangroves as the tide is ripping. Dont just run out there without fishing for trout where you see mullet mud. Check google earth so you can find the canals.
