Default Mississippi River cats.......

Susan has been on the road for a couple of weeks and at this moment at her brothers house out from McComb, Mississippi. This past Sunday the son of a friend of my brother-in-law dropped by his house to give him some catfish:sick (if you can't tell I don't like catfish). All told they caught 800# yes 800# of both Blue and Spotted Catfish They filled 4 coolers as in the picture slap full....the only ones they kept. They put out trot lines Friday and Saturday nights. Susan took and E-Mailed this picture yesterday, when they dropped off the fish.

Nope...don't eat catfish, now crappie and breamis a different story...cheese grits and the hush puppies are all well and good. In fact two weekends ago a friend from Mississippi and I met upat a Corp of Engineers campground inPickinsville, AL (on the Tom Bigby). We found this nice small town restaurant (1/2 mile north of 86 on 14 should anyone pass that way), I had a yen for a fish sandwich...only fish they had WAS catfish.....I'll have a hamburger please.:banghead
