Escambia River Friday 11/27/09

We put in at Jim's around 7:00 am and went under the bridge towards the mouth. We used live shrimp & Berkley Gulp new penny - caught white & speckled trout. We went to the "X" and caught some more specks (1 keeper), more white trout and a keeper flounder. Went back to the mouth and caught more trout as well as a 4ft gar on a stingray grub. Fun day.

flatsfever and I put in at Jim's Saturday (11/28) around 9 and fished till 2:30.

The bridge was COVERED up in Jon and Bass boats - I think that I counted 9 boats out there!!!

Our totals were: 2 specks (both short) near the bridge.

Next, we went to a honey hole and I believe that we got a total of 7 reds (may have been 6, I can't remember). The reds were hard to find (didn't find any until about 1:00), but once we figured out what they wanted it was game over.

All fish were released.

That's my favorite go to spot...the X spot..LOL
