Buddy and I fished the Choctaw this afternoon from about 3:30 until 7:40. River was 87 degrees, clear and low. Fishing for bream I think we caught maybe 2 or 3 small size before 7pm. About 7pm there was a flury of activity of small ones for about 30 minutes....but we kept maybe only 4 or 5. Got about 8 or 10 small channels and blues. All iced down for early morning cleaning tomorrow.
crickets for bream and wigglers and old catalpas for cats. Fished mostly for bream with bobber at about 3 to 4 ft in 4 to 6 ft water.......Next time will take right gear for bottom fishing bream. I think this hot water has them deep. Will find out later this week.
