Default catfishing

brother and friend went to the river yesterday at 9 in the morning. i had things to do so hung around the house. about 4 the called and asked if i wanted to come catfishing. well i found a friend and we gone at what ever time it was. i think we got there at 7 or 8 ish. the water was just coming over the banks where we were at and the 1st run of jugs produced some fish but after the firs trun it was all about the limb lines. at about midnight it had shut down so we decided to pack on up. started or track home and boy was it foggy. had to idle down the mobile for 8 or so miles, 2.5 hour ride, and watch out for tugs and stupid blow(sail) boats. they think i guess a barge will just ease out of there way. ended up with 36 i believe, give or take a few with some fine eating ones. probably caught 10 channels and the rest blues.biggest to 15 lbs. most were 1 to 2 lbs. sorry cant upload pics on iphone.

I just left from there too, we had some decent fish, some where on the lines of 20 blue cats the biggest was only about 5lbs but we was not fishing for big fish either, just looking to catch some for a fish fry all on rod n reels. The water is really brown down there right now with about 54-55 water temp out on the main river and 57-58 in the slews, we kept getting rained on with no rain jackets on the boat it was kinda annoying.

Here in a few weeks ill be over there hunting the big boys.

Cat were y'all down low or up high in the delta? We were above the interstate. We just went hoping to catch the water break over the banks and catch them coming onto the banks which we did. It shut down though after it got high on the banks though. Our box looked like yours. Only one biggun and it was the first fish.

The wind was blowing so hard we stayed below the interstate and got most of ours on the flats around the north end of Gravine Island.
