Default blackwater

Ok, 1st don't bust me for no pics...keep reading.

Went to Blackwater before daylight, had been watching some bait schools and knew their routine. This a.m. they were being herded and busted but not real consistent. I ended up catching 5 legal bass, 2 undersized specks, 2 needle fish, 2- ladyfish and 1 keeper red (the only fish I kept).

OK, so why no photos...anyone who fishes busting bait pods knows you got to hook 'em and catch another one ASAP...and so I didn't take the time for pics...sorry.

The bite was in 2 ft. - 10 ft. w/ focus on drops, ridges, creek inlets and holes...water is warm. Everything hit a top water popper except the red who bite a rapala. caught my last fish at 11:30

Let's go fishing!!!

Good report, and you are right--it's too much fun to catch em when they are busting. Damn the photos, just go get em...
