It's not just Hiltons. They're all using the same birds and imagery. Terrafin postedtheir first Chloro. update for the Gulfsince the 27th just this morning and it was a very low quality shot.

I logged into my acct and all the pages are up to date except the chloro but that's pretty important info when your searching.......
David's phone number is on the contacts page, try giving him a call. I'm guessing there's a satellite out somewhere

Chloro comes fromNOAA sats- so it's not just Hiltons. We are facing the samedeal with our MODIS Aqua at Florida-Offshore. You can see all the recent images here if you'd like - they just aren't very good for our area lately :S:

Yep .... agree with above. Until someone invents a satellite that will see through clouds (won't ever happen!) there will always be periods like this when you can't get a good shot from anyone. No service has access to a magic satellite ..... Just have to rely on reports and hope for clear skies.
My guessright now is to plan on going 120+ miles if you have to find blue ... SSE towards nipple and spur and hope to run into some good water closer-in. The most recent bits of shots from the rigs (Ram Powell area) show bad water all-round and E and SE of there ... at least a few days ago. We're planning to go Sunday and I sure hope we can get some good info before then. |
