Default sunday morning rig report

went out with a couple of friends to try and catch a tuna. it was our first time so we figured it would be a learning experience. left perdido pass at 1 am and got to the 255 rig around 3:30. we loaded up on hardtails in no time. made our way to petronius and there were several other boats there. we chunked and jigged and started catching blackfins right away. kept a few and used a couple to chunk with. after it started getting light acouple ofyellowfins started busting the top. most fish we sawthough were blackfins.it made everyones trip just seeing some of the bigger ones come 5-10 feet out of the water. we tried casting poppers but could only manage blackfins. they were fun to catch though. after a while we trolled around the rig for a little bit. there was a nice weedline with some big patches when we got to the rig before light. however, the wind had picked up and scattered the grassso we were clearing lines a lot.didnt have any bites on the trollso we hit the shallow rigs and managed a grouper, aj and some white snapper. finished up the day on some live bottom were we managed 7 red snapper and called it a day. water at the petronius was blue green.
