Hit the pass at Fort Morgan around 3pm Friday. Stopped at the Dixie Bar and loaded the boat with hardtails on Sabiki rigs. We made it to the Unocal just before dark and had no luck there. Decided to move to deeper water set out the Sword rigs and get some rest. At around 4am we hooked our first fish and after a brief fight with the fastest fish we have ever seen it pulled the hook. 30 min later we experienced the same (snapped line). By this time we where close to the Steps and decided to head over to the Petronious for the Tuna. Listening to the Radio (ch 78) no one was catching any tuna. We tried trolling around the rig and through the boat traffic and the only thing we where catching were Bonita and Blue Runners. Went to the 255 rig and caught a couple AJ's that didn't measure. We turned around and felt the cool breeze from that storm and we where stuck in hell for the next couple of hours (first storm at sea). When we broke through the storm we found a rip line around 40 miles out and trolled it. Much to my surprise I caught my first Dolphin. I pulled it along side the boat and Jason threw a hardtail behind it and it was on. We trolled the line for awile longer and decided to head towards the house and leave the Snapper bite for another day. Hope the picture loads. If not, I will try again.

Yeah that was a lot of fun hiding behind the rig trying to stay out of the wind. We only caught blackfin that night, no YFT.
