how did you rig up for the black snapper. did you use a carolina rig like a small bait hook with sliding egg sinker or did you fish on bottom with a pyramid like for pompano. I have never caught black snapper but hear they are good eating. you catch them on live shrimp right? did you see that baitball in the light or were the fish boiling on top of the water.

WELL YOU CAN TARGET THEM A FEW DIFFERENT WAYS, I NOTICED TODAY THAT THE SNAPPER WERE HITTING AWAY FROM THE STRUCTURE AND FEEDING RIGHT UNDER THE BAIT SCHOOLS ALSO HELPS THAT WE HAVE A FULL MOON TONIGHT AND YOU COULD USE A EGG 1/2 TO A OUNCE WEIGHT, SWIVEL AND 1 OT OWNER RED HOOK 20 TO 30 LB LEADER I DONT USE FLOUROCARBON, I DO JUST AS GOOD AS THE OTHER GUYS. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GOOD REEL AND STOUT ROD AND WALK AWAY FROM THE STRUCTURE WHEN YOU HOOK THE FISH, ITS ABOUT 7 TO 10 THAT THEY CUT YOU OFF. BAIT WELL THEY ARE HITTING LY'S THE LAST TWO DAY'S BUT SHRIMP, FINGER MULLET AND LY'S WORK THE BEST IT TAKES TIME TO LEARN HOW TO CATCH THEM BUT WHEN YOU DO ITS GAME ON. SO TRY THAT AND IF YOU NEED ANY MORE HELP JUST LET ME KNOW, SO GOOD LUCK CPT. BRANDON PRATT :usaflag
