Default Tuesday morn Snapper Limit on END OF THE LINE

Capt. Jimwanted to get the dust off of his boat (END OF THE LINE):

Met up with Ed (SHUR KETCH II), Terry (KATHY II), and Skip (LAST CAST) at day break for a launch at Sherman Cove.

Had some pin fish and threadfins and hit the bait boat for some cigs and headed out on calm seas and overcast sky. Beautiful ride at 30mph heading SW.

Cruised over a spot that lit up.

Anchored up and the bite was on, taking mainly live bait, but also squid. Had our limit of Red Snapper by 0830 along with a keeper AJ and Bonita.

Here's where my little Kodak went black, so no pictures of Terry or others. With the live bait gone, the bite slowed. After a few hours of screwing around, more breakoffs, short AJs, and tossing back Red Snapper, we headed in. Sitting up front, sipping a cool one, at a smooth 30mph - life is GOOD.

Had to get a picture of the Captain in (orI wouldn't be invited back!), so Terry took one ashore.

Ya'll missed a beautiful day to fish (which they all are). Didn't see much boat activity on our morning run.

Cheers :letsdrink

Looks like a great trip. Must be nice to get away from the crowds when fishing in the middle of the week. Thanks for the report and pictures.

We were out there yesterday with similar results. Didn't bother with live bait just went to our spot and chunked with bonito from the day before and the Snapper were tearing it up. Put a pile of bonito in the box for the next few days. Headed out a little further and caught some black snapper and more bonito. Ran back in hoping for more blacks but the bite just turned off at one o'clock. What a rare weather day. No hard SW wind in the afternoon and slack current so the chum would just drift down beautifully. Headed back out this morning. I love the way you document your trips with pics. I have no camera so I very rarely report on trips.
