Default Short Trip out for AJ's

Late start out. Left out of Shoreline in search of AJ's. No time to catch live bait so we used what we had left over from a previous trip. My friend Scott had never caught and AJ so I told him that we would head out to a spot to put him on some AJ's. At first stop, GPS lite up like a Christmas tree. Dropped down and they didn't want our bait. Moved to our second spot and first drop down, BAM. Scott hooked his first AJ. Keeper @ 33 inches. After that, a couple break off's and nothing but HUGE red snappers. Getting kind of late. Decided to drop down one more time and Scott's pole bent in half. Thought it was a grouper. He fought it about 20 minutes or so. Reeled in about a 7 ft shark. Decided it was time to head back into ShoreLine. Cold wet ride back. Fun day fishing. Buddy lands his first AJ. Looking forward to next trip.
