Default Shark ID & Regulations??

I've caught quite a few sharks but haven't brought one in to date. I honestly didn't think anyone ate them until talking to a few friends over the last couple of months. But I have no idea how to identify them and the regulation sources I have aren't that good. Do any of you guys keep them and is there a good picture reference you can recommend for identification? Also, how do you make sure the bite is out of em' before bringing them onboard?

...just realized I posted under the wrong title...sorry bout' that.

Safest bet is to keep black tips (no black on analfin and no min size) and spinners (black tip on anal fin I know it sounds backwards) which have to be 54" to the fork as they are pretty easy to ID out of the commonly caught sharks.

back tip and makos are delish! i take photos of the rest and place them back in the water to fight another day. you can look them up online or get a guide from the noaa predator taging website. for regs, consult the FWC site.

i've never bagged a shark but i did read that getting a 5 gallon bucket around thier head is a great way to keep those chompers out of your calf or hand.
