Went out this mourning and got chased back in because of the rain. Watched the weather all day and saw a window in the last part of the day. Trolled for some kings and got some little ones and three to bring home. Best action was around the Mass....:letsdrink

Those are just the right size to eat. Cut them into round inch thick steaks and throw them on the grill.

Best bite was with a skirted King rig with cigar minnow hooked in letting two trailers ride along side being trolled on the surface and a green spoon trolled deep using a #3 planer.:hungry

yeah there were a bunch out there. me an a couple friends got out there around 2 caught some bait at the mass an started trolling around it an almost every bait we caught a nice king, by 6 we had already caught an released at least 30 as well as a 30lb jack crevelle an a few nice spanish.. kept 3 that are one the grill right now..

I was at the Mass at daybreak and just difting on the N. side every cast I made was a king or a nice spaniard. I was using a 5" jerk bait with nylon coated wire and probably one of the best days Ive had in a while, landed my first king on a fly rod ever also!
