Default Kings and Blues, from the gulf

Went out this afternoon with JJAM and Tony to watch the show, plan was to catch at least one king for Jimmy to smoke for his famous dip. Trolled the pass a little around bouy 5/6 then headed East. One hit, w/ no hook up, so we rigged up some stinger hooks. Ran over to the pier, to find out we couldn't be within 1.5 miles of the beach. I've never been in the gulf for the show but it sure looked like boats were much closer 2 years ago when I seen it from the beach. Anybody that does go to the gulf might as well take some bottom rigs, 65' of water might have a snapper or two. Anyway, after the coasties informed us we were to close we set up in the proper area, tossed out a hardtail (with duster) on one rod and a cig (naked) on the other. Watched the show and picked up two smokers. Here's a few pics for ya.

Jimmy, thanks for the trip... GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Mark, semi retired is cool. But when I could be up there flying well it kinda sucks. Not much longer. I'll enjoy it while it last.

I got burnt, my hat was not on my head where it shoulda been. Maybe one of these days I can get a tan so I don't look so much like a tourist. Yall have fun out there and be safe.
