Default HHW June 28

Well we went out with one thing in mind, tight lines. The water was ugly and other than schooly kings skying that was about it for life on the surface. Limited out in snapper in a hurry with two lanes and a mangrove to boot. I bet we got broke off at least a dozen times, probably by kings. Trolled SE for 7 miles went a little past the edge and only boated a few kings trolling. On our way to a go-to grouper hole we found another. AND it paid off. This place was holding lots of scamps. Ended up heading in around 5 or so with a 3 person limit of snapper & kings, and one person limit on grouper. We had some great seafood gumbo for dinner! I dont plan on keeping kings again this summer, I think we have enough. We smoked the kings for a great dip!

Only a few pics but it was a lot of fun with my wife and the mate.

Also, caught a few bobo's

Good report, you got to love it when you find a good new spot.

Somehow we managed to stay out of all of the storms. The boat didn't get rained on until it was on the trailer. :hoppingmad

One of the kings did manage to hit one of my cedar lures. Pretty cool to see it sky out of the water with a plug I made.

Throughout the entire day all I used was jigs. At least one of each on the table came from a jig of some sort.
