Default Fishing the Mary Jack

Fished the Mary Jack today and Johnathan (the owner), Coach (another John ), Earl ( not a John ), Jerry and his son Jeb headed out to the edge. We left the dock around 9 AM, I know thats a late start. Cruised out to a natural bottom spot and circled a few times to locate some fish. The bite was hot today for sure. The seas were around 1 - 3 foot this morning but fairly smooth. I took about 2 hours running at 26 knots to get there but the ride was nice. The bite was on as soon as baits hit the bottom. The smaller snapper 16 - 20 inches were hitting cut bait but the big boys 20 + inches were nailing big pinfish. Needless to say everyone had a great time especially Jeb. I left my camera ion the boat so I can't post any pics till tomorrow. Have to see if Jebs mom will post some here as well. We're going out again on thursday and i think we'll hit the snapper at some spots on the way out to try for some reef donkeys. All I can say is the fish were biting and they were all over the place. Marked spots on the way out as well as on the way back in. The only problem we had was trying to figure out Earl's grandfathers guarenteed king catching lure, we're still working on it.
