9/5 offshore report grouper

left out of orange beach this morning with a couple dozen pinfish and picked up some ly's and crazyfish on the way out. ran about 30 miles south and stopped on an old spot. it was covered in nice red snapper. time to move. tried out a new spot and found a couple nice scamp and about 6 18 inch red grouper. finally found a legal red and then moved on. tried another new spot and it was on pretty good. found gags, reds, scamp and beeliners here to finish out the day. saw lots of turtles today and bonita were schooling everywhere. water laid down nicely in the afternoon for a great ride home. it was great to get back on the gulf for a day.
