8-16 State waters snapper

Went out after the rain this morning to test out some new electronics. Was by myself andwasn't really thinking about a full day fishing trip.Ended up trying some public numbersSE of pensacola in state waters. Got my limit of red snapper and headed home- relaxed day. wishI had a full crew with me -the snapper were biting. Smalllerfish was 20 inches. Bigger fish was 25 inches. Quality fish for public numbers in state waters this late in the year.

do you mind me asking what you were using for bait? jigs I assume if you headed out not thinking about fishing. or did you have some bait on hand?

Fish were caught on frozen cigar minnows.

i hope those were not the last two! you know that they are close to being endangered spices. just kidding. nice catch. if will don't keep catching them they will eat up everything else out there! thanks for your help. keep the pics coming.
