<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt">went offshore for the first time in our new boat and had a pretty good day. ran out to the nipple andpulled some lines for a little bit to see if a wahoo was around. after about an hour there were no takers so we decided to fish the edge the rest of the day. i caught several small AJ's jigging a williamson butterfly jig. i bought a jigging combo at the outcast sale and this was my first time really trying it. it was fun getting slammed while jigging. my buddy dropped down the first time with a cigar minnow and brought up a nice gag for the ice box. the fish hit the scales at 11 pounds. my wife found the mingo hole and started bringing them up one after the other. we also caught a big nasty eel. luckily he was just sucking on the butterflied ruby red and just self released. we did catch 5 nice endangered red snapper. all of these were vented and swam down quickly when released. also had a mola mola come nearby. total tally for the day 1 nice gag, 10 mingos, 2 lane snapper, scamp.

That eel is cool. Dont catch something like that often.
