1/3/09 first trip of the new year

we went out this morning out in at shoreline at around 715ish and didnt get to the pass till 930 the fog was sooo thick you couldnt see another boat until they were right next to you,

but we loaded up on bait and finaly headed offshore. only caught 2 short grouper and this nice snapper

, on the way back in we saw a school of about 50 reds and my brother wanted to catch one so i threw a little diamond jig and hooked a nice sized one but was only a 3 min fight on a big spinning reel and 50lb braid.
