Default What's the Best handheld GPS

I bought a Burris handheld for a couple hundred bucks maybe two years ago, and it's just not cutting it. It worked great for me for hunting, but I've tried using to find wrecks in the Gulf and it's just not good enough. My screen will only zoom to a scale of 528ft, and I'm wanting something much better. Any recommendations?

Garmin 76cs or any garmin product with the bluecharts. I had a plain 76 and it was as accurate as my Northstar GPS.

I have the 76csx at work and it's great. Very easy to use and simple to load your points into Google Earth if you want to plan a trip from the home PC.

someone stole my GPSMap76S and I immediately replaced it w/ the GPSMap76Cx. I got the GPSMap76Cx because I had all of the mounts, chargers, etc... for it.

I also got it because main photo on the Garmin web site showed a screen shot of the marine maps, and so did the product box. I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE DISAPPOINTED - I think that Garmin is kinda crappy to have not included the coastal maps.

Kinda seemed like "false advertising" to me...so, if you choose the Garmin GPSMap76Cx, then you'll also need to get the Blue Charts software (like $160 on a chip)...

I agree the Garmin 76 cs is all you need, it is one incredible machine. If you need the maps gey the csx.

Garmin 76cx. Been fishing with it for over a year now cause i'm to cheap to buy a full size unit. Just as accurate as the big boy's and can do anything they can. Get the trip and waypoint manager software for your computer and you can do anything you want.

Garmin has a great product and great service for the money.

You can get better quality, but be ready to shell out the $.
