Yeah last time i checked on the GPS in statute miles the petronius was 73 SM, marlin was 87 SM and the ram is right at 98 SM from Perdido Pass. Horn Mt. Is something like 112 or so.

What fish are you targeting? There are plenty of closer rigs for targeting snapper, AJs, cobia, etc....

For YFT, petronius would probably be the closest.

Howdy,

Petronius is 62.8 NM from the Perdido Pass farewell buoy and 67.5 from the Pensacola farewell buoy.

We have a winner! Tom is right .Probably not a real smart thing to use sea tow in your plan .I have been to the patronias about 65 times and have been caught in some weather that I regretted . Usually do real well though, yellowfin blackfin wahoo. So if you do decide to plan on sea tow to get you the rest of the way home, make sure you have a last will and testament made up.:letsdrink

JOSHua (12/18/2008)where would be something better to go to then?

if it gets choppy we might not get that range we need .... but if we get inside 25 miles i have sea-tow

Anytime you start figuring sea-tow into your float plan you need to forget about it.
