There are probley some hoos there, but the water hasnt warmed up enough to bring in the numbers of fish that it would be very productive yet. We were out by Tennco the others day and did see a Blue free jump a few times. And did see lots of jewvie bo bos. Might be worth a try,,, ?????? Watch your bottom machine and find something to drop a butterfly jig down on. Good luck and give me a PM on how you do ..

I went to the edge today to several rock piles, we had zero bite, absolutely nothing...I was very suprised. I went to the edge for grouper but nothing. Good luck. In regards to the nipple / trolling...go to the bluewater section, those guys are really smart, If you see anything by "Disanto" read it and pay attention. Good luck

Was there 3 weeks ago (131 hole) and trolled some weak weed lines for 4 dolphin. Biggest was 30 lb. The story I hear on the Bluewater forum is that the blue water is way out right now due to MS River flooding. There were spots of bluewater around the 131 hole though 3 weeks ago- I guess upwelling currents. If you go, look for the grass or other structure on the top and pul some Ilander/ballyhoos by it. Free trolling works but is much more hit and miss. The bite was on early for us (8 to 10 am).

not sure what you mean by "the water needs to warm up". The water between the nipple and spur last weekend was 84. That is VERY warm...
We just need some good blue water to move north and it will be on like donkey kong... |
