Default Line to Line Connections

http://pensacolafishingforum.com/fis...7360-20-1.aspx

The above topic on "What test line and leader to use for grouper fishing" was full of good information, but it left me wondering:

What kind of line to leader connections are you guys using for mono to mono (or flurocarbon) and especially braid to mono or flurocarbon leader? I would rather use a knot than a swivel, what do yall think?

Swivel. Especially because of the weight

I use a knot for jigs and a swivel for slip lead.

I've got 100lb power pro on my reel, will the uni to uni work well to tie to say 80-100 fluro?

I agree with Uni to Uni. If you use a small braid to a large mono then you may want to double the braid line. Check out Vic Dunaway's book on rigs and tackle for more info.

Uni to Uni for sure works and its what i have used mostly for last 10 years with Power pro to other lines and no problems so far.

But because I gotone of those multi purpose flyfishing tools it made it easier to tie nail knot to nail knot connections (never could get them right freehand). They seem to hold up well so far on 15lb PP to 12 lb floro.
