Good spot for Snapper not to far out.

Me and a friend are planning to go out 2morrow morning to go see what kinda damage we can do. I was wondering where is a good spot to catch Snapper or any fish of the like I.E. tasty finned freaks:hungry. He has a 18 foot Carolina Skiff so I don't think he will want to go out to far. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and handsomely rewarded(it'll probably be just a thank you and some pics of what we catch).

The Mass, just out side the pass to the west always holds fish.
