Daiwa Saltiga Dog Fight Saltwater Spinning Reels

Any feedback on this reel? 68lbs max drag!! Holly Smokes!!

Never used one.....yet, but have played with the samples I've seen. Just as solid as a Stella but I don't necessarily see them as being as smooth as a Stella. I've used the original Saltiga spin reels and was highly impressed so I don't think this one would fall short.

I have an Expedition which is the low gear version of the dog fight. Its a sexy reel with more drag than you can stand. You used to be able to get these from reelsseller off ebay in the mid 7's which made them a good deal a few hundred less than a stella, but now with them here and the exchange rate lower, they are about the same. I would get an stella 18000 before the dogfight if I were to buy one today.

All in all said, you will be happy either way.

There are a lot of great, less expensive choices but theres a great feeling of comfort and confidence when using a Saltiga or Stella. My Stella 20K is getting buried with me
