Default Cobia at end of july

I will be in PC at the end of July for our yearly free beach condo trip and was wondering if y'all still see enough lemonfish to warrant pulling the boat with me. We will be there 5 days and although I am hesitant to leave the fishing in MS for that many days the wife and family look forward to it to much to skip. By this time I know the majority of the fish are actually off our coast and further west but last year while on a jet ski(rare occasion for me) I had a stud prob pushing 80lbs swim up to me and saw a pair swimming inside the first bar(actually headed east) from the condo. Were these just flukes are there still enough around that late to fish them. Only gonna bring the boat if it seems there are enough to have a legitimate shot as I do all the other stuff with the other species here 100 days a year anyways but what I rarely ever get to do is the cruising looking style cobia fishing as ours in MS is almost chumming, rig hopping, jigging anything floating and chasing shrimp boats. Thanks a bunch.

They have mostly moved on by then but you will still find a few hanging aroung the inshore wrecks and reefs occasionally.

Cobia will be gone unless you run across a ray or big shark that might have a few on them. Some of the wrecks will still have a few. Lots of tarpon migrating down the beach at that time.
