Default Cobia

I'm headed out in the morning (from Destin). Is anyone still catching Cobia? Hoping to get one or two but it seems not many people are having luck.

I'd try checking shallow wrecks rather than looking on the beach

Ditto and maybe look for some rays and turtles on the way out.

I'd make other plans...

At least bring some crystal minnows and troll for kings, there have been some monsters right on the beach.

Appreciate the tips guys. I think we plan to troll for some kings too. If all that fails we will probably settle on bottom fishing, which is always fun!

As long as you have a backup plan...

The last few days the only cobia caught have been in the afternoon, I would suggest bottom fishing first and then hit the beach after you load your coolers up.

A lot of cobia have been caught bottom fishing as well, keep a rod ready while you're on a spot, pretty decent chance one will swim up. Better chance catching one out there than on the beach right now...
