Default bottom fishing this weekend

Looks like a slick gulf for the weekend and I'm thinking about coming down to try some bottom fishing. My bottom fishing experience has been limited to mostly snapper and some smaller amberjack. Ive fished yellow gravel one time and only caught 1 red grouper but have heard on here that the grouper and AJs are biting fairly well. Any advice on what areas to fish and getting bait from the OB area. Ive got all the public numbers so I dont think I need spots, just knowledge on catching grouper.

Thanks
