Billfish season

How late in the year is the billfishing good out of Destin and Pensacola? How long are the whites around?

We may be running to the rigs in mid November... what should I be able to expect for typical trolling action?

Nov can be a good month offshore. It's just hard to catch the weather right.

I have personally caught blue marlin the weekend after Thanksgiving. There was frost on the ground the morning we left and I have pictures of me sitting in the chair fighting the fish with jeans and a jacket on. This was probably about 6 years ago and sealed the deal for the boat winning top boat in the PBGFC for the year. I also used to fish with a older gentleman that said he had caught billfish out of here every month of the year with the exception of February. I personally dont have real high confidence billfishing when it gets cold but there might be a few straglers out there.
