Default Best chum and depth

If I am fishing on some hard bottom, what is the best chum to use and how deep should I but it? I was looking for some mangrove or mingos. I am catching plenty of red snapperand it is sad having to throw so many back.

get two pre-made bags of chum from wal-mart, put one on the bottom with your anchor, and keep the other one at the surface.

If you want mingos try fishing a little higher in the column. Take it off the bottom and it will help eliminate some of the snapper.
