Are your lights in the water or out ????? Have you ever gigged in the gulf with a calm north wind ????? Thanks in advance.:bowdown

the lights are in the water and ive seen people gigging on the gulf side down by the pass a couple times

Our lights are submersible, about 4" in the water with the bulbs facing forward. We just run 2 bulbs. I have tried the gulf a few times but have always had better luck in the bay.

Scott, the gulf produces a lot moe fish when the conditions are right but you won't get the quality, as far as size goes, as you do in the bay. I believe it's two different species, the gulf flounder being the smaller of the two. My son and I went wading,stuck 17 and stepped on a bunch in an hours time last year. It's like every thingelse you just have to be there at the rght time.
