Default size limit change?

I know the law is 12 inches, but for some reason I kept thinking it was 14 inches and I passed over several fish. Was there any talk recently of a size change to 14?

just as well. not much meat on a 12"er. i know some like myself try not to stick it if its that small. but no, havent heard any talk like that. there was some speculation awhile back of changing something about the flounder limits, but dont remember what. was a decent size thread on it within the last year.

A whole 12 incher is plenty meaty. Add potatoes, cole slaw and a hush puppy ortwoand you got a meal. Stick away!!

i dont disagree with that. i am a meat fisherman. i guess a better way for me to put it is if im seeing bigger fish fish, why mess with the smaller ones unless thats all there is

Plenty of meat on a 12, not to mention a 13 3/4! So, if you have been passing over 12s and not getting a limit then you should probably go again tonight and try it.

I think I got flounder and trigger confused. I can't keep anything straight with so many stinking rule changes. You'd better call the fish rules hotline while you're on the boat to see if they've changed the rules since you left the house. Oh well, my mistake and it cost me and the boat about 12 fish. Won't happen again. mighty tasty flounder tonight, though. gonna taste great in the fryer tomorrow. sorry no picts...the fillets don't photo very well. and...yeah, Dave, should've gone tonight.
