Default report 10/18

Went camping at Ft. McRae last night despite the cold and wind, but we had a blast anyhoo.

Decide to bring the smaller boat to gig for an hour or so. With the wind blowing hard we tried going west from shermans cove. We gave it an honest effort for an hour at the most then decided to head back to the fire and friends.

The guts: I had two amateurs looking for majority of the time, but pretty sure they did not see any. I decided to switch and go up front for a bit, but never saw any or sting rays. Plenty of crabs. Tried depths from 1-2 feet and beyond 2.5-3 feet the water was pretty murky even with my two 150 halogens.

I am stoked the boat did well and I plan on making a trip further inland (along scenic) in the beginning of the week
