Default Where to park and target for the surf?

Getting into surf fishing hopefully with the wife and new baby. Where are some places to park and fish on Pensacola Beach? Can you fish from anywhere you have beach access? Thanks

Default RE: Where to park and target for the surf?

You can fish from anywhere along the beach as far as I know. If the beach is crowded, walking a little to get away is always nice. There are dozens of places east of portofino to park and go fish. But really there is public parking all up and down Pensacola beach and really anywhere you can park and get at the beach is a good place to go. The fish move up and down the coast, so if your lines are in the water, eventually you and the fish will meet up.

Look for calm surf days that is when I have had my best days. When the surf is up and water is muddy, it is always a challenge (at least for me).

Keep your eyes open for birds. if you see birds diving close to shore (within casting distance) go throw where they are diving and hold on...you are in for some fun.
