Default Twin Bull Reds

Went out sunday (10/4/09) to fort pickins, we checked the tides, checked the fishing report, we knew there was a high chance of rain. but figured it would blow around like it most always does at the beach. DIDNT CHECK THE WIND. we soon learned why there was no one in our little honey hole we normally go to first. I swear the wind was blowin 30 mph! and straight from the east. so we barely gave it a try with no real luck, and loaded up for a different spot.

Do to the wind, I figured it wouldnt be so bad in the pass, with the wind blowing on our backs. so we made the long walk around, and was pleasanyly surprised, (untill it started to rain, haha) Caught this in the pass on the Fort Pickins side. Right on the line where the bay and gulf meet.

I reeled this guy in after he nearly spooled me several times, and a good several minute fight. I was fishing with my grandfather(sureline) and uncle. Several minutes later my Grandfather reels in one almost the same size, maybe a half inch bigger than mine.

Both Red fish were between 34 and 35 inches and Both were realeased back into the Florida waters.

They certainly brought some life into the bad weather, and beats getting skunked anyday.

I'dve love to been along! Some great pics guys! Sounds like you have a few pretty sweet honey holes, one for each type of weather! Great job!
