Started out slow, 14" at 5:45 nothing till 8:30, then a 15", a few minutes later a13,14 & a short. Few minutes later 2 more shorts and a 16". Lost 3 in surf. Then my brother caught a 21", 3#10oz. Wives showed up, another 16 & a 14".
Ended up with 8, lost 4, and 4 dinks. Best day in the last couple years for me.
Sweeeeet..........Nice catch......darn it, we were culling and giving away in Navarre cuz I thought the daily bag limit was only 6 !!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....wish I had known better darn it. Yep, the pomps are a runnin along the beaches...go get 'em !!
Ive read recently that pomps are measured to the fork in FL and the entire length of the fish in Alabama. Is this true? If so, how do I interpret fishing reports when the state is rarely given and usually there is no indication about whether its fork length or not?
I hear you Hugehail....I was just going over this with my fishing buddy the other day (she was fishing in AL) . I used these when we checked during our discussion. And yes....very confusing. We just do the best we can eh ? hth
