My brother came down for a visit and we squeezed in a quick trip this morning ended up with a dozen or so whiting and one 17" pomp. Caught 3 more pomps right at 11" but decided to let them grow a little more. Fed the whole family tonight for supper, so I guess that's a good day.
Yep, was pretty good (in the fog) Sunday morning. I fished at Langdon.
Caught only one pomp, but the whiting were snapping all morning. Slower during the afternoon.
Thanks to the folks on the beach who took the photos!
Back at Langdon today. As good as yesterday was, today was a bust.
Not a surprise: east wind, clear water, light surf.
Hooked a shark (?) mid-morning, which bent the rod and was off. Retrieved the line to find one hook gone and double lines cut (double-line to each hook). Not likely a mackerel; likely a shark. Bummer anyhow.
Beautiful day and pleasant fishing anyhow.
