Default PCola Beach M.G.B "Saturday report"

For those of you who normally catch them it's no big deal. But for you newbies (including me) when it comes to catching bonito in the surf on 12lb test, "Man's Game B...h!" I got my ass kicked bringing them in. The bonito were laced up and down the beach like ladyfish. I've caught 15lb kings several times before on 12lb test but those bonito will give you the ride of your life! Oh yeah, I did manage to catch this pomp right before the madness started.

I was out there sat morning before first light and was killing the big blue's on light tackle too, then about 8:30am the Bonita came through and it was on!My forearms were burning from those Bonita, I can't wait to do it again. All I have to say is if you go out there with a walmart specialthose Bonita will fry the reel!

Firedawg were you at the Ft Pickens end? I was there first light also by the restrooms. I agree about the quality of reel. My cv5000 held up with no problem but it was definitely screaming for mercy. Plus using it on a 7 1/2ft med/lght fast tip gave the bonito a fighting chance.
