Heading down for the first time around the 4th. Never been and was wondering are there any good places to fish. We usually go to PC beach and I do pretty good on the jetties and in the surf. Any suggestion on where and what to use? Thanks for any tips.

Perdido Pass will probably be your best bet, being that the pier will probably still not be open.

Joel, you have a similar setup around Perdido Pass, though it's not quite as big as PC.
Besides the east & west jetties that offer jacks, bluefish & redfish you can try the public beach access a half mile east of the bridge, or the Cotton Bayou access a mile west of the bridge. Here's a link to an aerial view to help you reconoiter: http://www.bing.com/maps/default.asp...&encType=1 |

Be ready to deal with sunbathers and swimmers on the beach....hit the jetty or the seawall.
