Hit the beach around 8:00 AM, a little after low tide. Cold, east wind, strong east/west current. I was fishing with fresh shrimp. Caught 6 Whiting. Something really big broke me off. Interesting lesson today, the couple fishing 25 yards east of me caught 8 really nice Pompano. They were fishing WalMart rigs with sand fleas. I go to the trouble to make stealth rigs and I've never thought much of sand fleas as bait until today. You just never know.
