Default Dauphin Island, AL 02/07/10

Hit the Dauphin Island surf for the first time in a few months on Sunday morning. Cold and had a strong northwest to southwestwind. Water was very coldand tough to wade out in due to the temperature, but it was fairly calm, so the splashupsto the groinwere kept to a minimum Was using fresh cut mullet, fresh dead shrimp, squid, live bull minnows and some whole dead pinfish. NOT A BITE ON ANYTHING. Go figure. I wasn't surprised since I haven't caught a fish in nearly 3 weeks:banghead Definitely gonna wait til it warms up a bit and stick to the Gulf State Park Pier...even though I've been there for 3 weekends straight and haven't caught a fish either. COME ON WARM WEATHER!!!! Good luck boys and girls!
